Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Stick of Butter softened to room temperature
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 3/4 Cup of Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 3 Very Ripe Bananas
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Take the Butter out and let it soften and get to room temperature.
  3. Butter a 9X5X3 baking pan.
  4. Using an electric mixer, blend the softened butter and the sugar together until it is fluffy and creamy.
  5. Add the Vanilla, Milk and Cinnamon.
  6. Add the eggs, one at a time and mix until blended in.
  7. Put the ripened bananas into a separate bowl and mash them with a spoon.  You can keep them lumpy or mash them smooth, however you want your bread to be! Incorporate them into your wet mixture.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.  Mix this into your creamy mixture just enough so that the flour disappears.
  9. Gently fold your Chocolate Chips into the mixture.
  10. Pour the batter into your pan and smooth the top.
  11. Bake for 50-65 minutes.  Stick a toothpick into the middle of the bread to make sure that it is done.
