These Air Fryer Apple Fries are a quick, tasty treat loaded with Fall Flavors. Fresh Apples are coated with crushed vanilla wafers, brown sugar and corn starch and then Air Fried to perfection with very little oil. Made in your Air Fryer, they are much healthier than deep frying apples and taste just as incredible! I love to dip mine in Whipped Cream garnished with cinnamon sugar!
Air Fried Desserts
I’ve had my Air Fryer for about 3 years now and just when I think I’ve made everything I can possibly make in it, I discover another delicious recipe. I love my Air Fryer because it makes dishes so easy, delicious AND healthy. You can get traditional “deep fried” results without having to dump your food in a huge vat of oil. So you get all the flavor, the crispy outside and tender insides without the calories, fat and guilt!
While I’ve made everything from Vegetables to Asian Cuisine in my Air Fryer, lately I’ve been focusing on desserts. And, not just any desserts, I’m talking about the sorts of Desserts that you’d find at the State Fair, super DEEP FRIED desserts. Except, this time, I’m not deep frying them, I’m Air Frying them. Last week, I made Air Fryer Oreos and they were amazing! Now that Fall is starting to set in, I’m going for Air Fryer Apple Fries!

Ready to get started? Check out the recipe card below for detailed instructions, but here is what you’ll need to get started:
- Large Apples (I used Granny Smith)
- Corn Starch
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla Wafers
What Is The Best Apple To Use In An Air Fryer?
Since this is a finger food, and you’ll need to pick them up and dip them the whipped cream, you’ll want to use an Apple that will retain it’s firmness and not break down too much. I used Granny Smith apples and the worked out great. Golden Delicious or Cortland could also work!
Other Things To Dip Your Air Fried Apples Into
As you can see in the pictures, I dipped my Air Fryer Apple Fries into Whipped Cream that is garnished with Cinnamon Sugar. I literally just got a can of store bought whipped cream, sprayed it into a dish and sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top. It was PERFECT! But, of course there are other options. You could certainly make your own homemade Whipped Cream. Or you could dip them in a caramel sauce. You could also make your own Vanilla Icing and dip them into that or even drizzle it over the Apple Fries themselves!
I hope you enjoy this recipe for Air Fryer Apple Fries. This is has been one of my favorites so far. It is extremely kid friendly and my kids LOVED this one!
