As I am writing this, I am looking out in my backyard at my fire pit. It was here when we moved into our house, built by the previous home owner. I love to camp whenever possible, but we actually don’t use our fire pit that often.
Honestly, we probably wouldn’t use it at all if not for one word: S’mores! Our kids cannot get enough of that classic, tasty (and messy) campfire treat. Traditionally, S’mores dessert recipes have always been pretty simple: Graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. I am usually not a huge fan of marshmallows, but I find them perfectly delicious when paired with their S’mores partners.
Pretty soon though, we discovered that we could experiment with the traditional three ingredients. The options seem endless with some fun, wacky and completely brilliant results! I have looked around on the internet and have listed the 15 S’mores recipes that I like the best.
The one thing that I DON’T like about S’mores is how messy they are. This is especially true when you have kids. The problem is also aggravated when you are at a campsite and far from any soap and running water! This is why #3, the Less Mess S’mores is perfect for us.
