Fried Chicken In An Air Fryer
Eating chicken is something that happens pretty often in our house. We buy boneless/skinless chicken breast every week. We love them because they are healthy, a great source of protein and easy to cook. But we sometimes get in a bit of a rut when deciding what to make with them. As much as we love chicken, it can get pretty boring if you don’t stay adventurous with it.
Obviously, fried chicken is super tasty and both of my kids are a huge fan of chicken tenders. But we really want them to have a healthy dinner and are concerned about anything that is deep fried in oil. So, I’ve been on the lookout for a healthy chicken tenders recipe.
Introducing the Air Fryer!
What is an Air Fryer?
An Air Fryer is a small electric kitchen appliance that uses hot air to cook food. It uses only hot air, nothing else. When you air fry something, you will get that same crispy fried taste without the fats and the oils from traditionally frying. You just need to preheat it to the desired temperature, put the food in and set the timer. Easy as that! There are also a ton of Air Fryer recipes out there to choose from and you can cook so many different things in them. They are all healthy and delicious.
Panko Crusted Air Fried Chicken Tenders
So, the light bulb when on above my head. I can make fried chicken in an air fryer! This recipe is so easy and takes about 15 minutes total. I decided to bread the chicken in Panko seasoning to give it an extra kick and crispiness. It worked perfectly. Here is the recipe. Enjoy!
You Only Need 3 Ingredients For Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- Panko Seasoning
- Eggs

Panko Crusted Air Fried Chicken Tenders
Ingredients
- 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1/4 cup Panko Seasoning
- 2 Eggs
Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees.

Cut the boneless skinless chicken into strips about one inch thick.

Dip the strips into the egg.

Shake off the access egg wash and coat with the Panko seasoning.

Place the tenders in the frying basket.

Cook on 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Halfway through, flip the tenders.

Keep an eye on the tenders while cooking because cooking time may vary.

Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
