And the vegetable looked weird too. They looked like little spears, more of a weapon that a food. But, at some point in time, as an adult, I really grew to LOVE asparagus. It has now become my go-to vegetable, especially if I’m having a steak dinner. One of my FAVORITE dinners is a big, juicy ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato and a side of asparagus. I love putting the asparagus on the grill with the steaks and cooking them that way. Just writing this is making me hungry!
About two years ago, my wife bought me an Air Fryer for my birthday. Since then, I’ve been making all sorts of delicious things in it. From Air Fryer Avocado Fries to Air Fryer General Tso’s Chicken, there are just so many dishes you can incorporate into an Air Fryer. But vegetables are a fantastic thing to put into your Air Fryer. I’ve done Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts and Air Fryer Green Beans. They both turned out awesome! They were super crispy on the outside and really tender inside. For the green beans, I actually coated them with some Panko Bread Crumbs to give them an extra crunch! Now, I’ve turned my attention to learning how to Air Fry Asparagus. I’m pretty excited about this.
What Is An Air Fryer?
An air fryer is a small electronic kitchen device that heats your food with quickly moving hot air. You usually (for best results) use a little bit of oil in this process and you can get a crispy outside and tender inside, just like you would traditionally deep frying your food. But, by using a fraction of the oil, your recipe will be much healthier for you! Air Fryers are also great because they are easy to store and easy to clean up. If you can think of any sort of fried food that you love, chances are that you can make it in an Air Fryer! There are a ton of different types of Air Fryers on the market, but I love using my Ninja Foodi. It is a Air Fryer and a Pressure Cooker all in one!
Air Fryer Asparagus
Making Air Fried Asparagus is one of the easiest recipes that I’ve tried in my Air Fryer. All you need is just a couple of simple ingredients; Olive Oil, Garlic Salt and Onion Salt. You can also sprinkle some parmesan cheese on them before serving if you’d like!
I can’t believe how well they turned out. It is by far one of the best vegetables cooked in an Air Fryer that I’ve tried. I will definitely be trying them again next time I have a ribeye steak! I’d also like to try making them with some shaved almonds on top or crusting them with Panko crumbs. Let me know how your Air Fryer Asparagus turned out for you! Enjoy!
